For over thirty years, Johan "Mack" van der Merwe believed that a business is only as strong as the community around it. That belief showed up everywhere. He sponsored school sports events and kitted out local rugby teams. He hosted golf days and community hunting weekends that brought people together.

 

And, quietly and without fanfare, he put struggling individuals through school and university, opening doors that would otherwise have stayed closed. Johan had a deep love for giving back, and it shaped the character of this company as much as any fuel we've ever delivered.
